It’s was lunch time today as we drove through Hampton, Iowa. So time to look for the local diner. You know the kind of place we look for…the place where every head turns when they hear the door open. We found that place in Hampton. It’s the Seven Stars Restaurant. It was filled with “locals”…including one old farmer in bib overalls who apparently came to town directly from his hog lot! (We were initially seated in the booth directly behind him.)
After recognizing the smell of “MONEY” (aka pig poo) I asked to be moved to a less fragrant booth. From our new table we were able to enjoy a tasty lunch. I ordered a Walleye sandwich and cole slaw while Fred opted for a tenderloin- always on the menu of any good Iowa diner. As Larry the Cable Guy would say…Only In America!
And our road trip continues…
