When a little girl asks for a bedtime drink to take to her room…this is a GREAT way to oblige! Simply save the lids from empty Parmesan cheese containers, then wash, and screw one onto a Mason jar filled with ice water. Snap open the lid and insert a straw…
Voila! A perfect drink cup that is easy to hold and quite hard to spill!
A perfect glass for a precious little grandchild to place on her nightstand.
You can also screw these lids onto Mason jars filled with anything you store in your pantry. Use them on jars filled with chocolate chips, spices, pasta, rice, and beans. And because the jars are clear you can quickly see what is stored in each one.
I am always on the lookout to find ways to reuse items that would otherwise end up in the landfill, and I bet you are too. So save those lids…and let your imagination run wild!

Where did you buy these lids?
Meemaw says
Hi Mary! Thanks for the question. The lids are found on plastic containers of grated Parmesan cheese you can buy in any grocery store. They fit perfectly on a Mason jar. I hope this helps!
XOXO
