Autumn and football go hand in hand at our house. And around here football games mean TAILGATING.
Tailgating 101 – It’s Party Time!
I’ve been cooking and entertaining at our tailgating parties for more than forty years. You can bet I’ve learned a thing or two about throwing an awesome party. Click HERE to see what I mean!
Since kickoff times now range from morning to night, I’ve put together recipes and tips that will take you from breakfast to late night events.
It’s All Right Here…
I’ve compiled it all into a 43 page eBook called Meemaw Eats Ultimate Tailgate Guide.
It’s available for $8.99 and you can download it from a secure site called Gumroad. To purchase my book CLICK HERE.
This eBook was the brainchild of my daughter in law Sarah. She knew how many folks struggle to come up with tried and true yet easy recipes that will please a tailgating tribe. So she created the format for my book and I supplied the all photos, stories and recipes. (It was a labor of love for both of us!)
I’ve even included a checklist of the tailgating items you don’t want to forget. (FYI…It’s pretty hard to flip burgers without a spatula, or to eat your potato salad without silverware.)
Now…pack your hand warmers and a thermos of your favorite beverage and check out these photos of some of my tailgating recipes you’ll find in my book.
You’ll find everything from breakfast casseroles to tasty snacks, grilled meats, soups, breads, and desserts. I’ve even included photos and stories about raising our sons in the shadow of Kinnick Stadium, the home of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Some of those football players were like big brothers to our boys.
What little boys wouldn’t love being lifted over the stadium fence “to play with the big guys” on the actual stadium turf?
Those magical summer evenings were the stuff of dreams for our kids…and for us too!
Now check out my recipes, and enjoy my stories. And whether you’re tailgating at the stadium or in your own backyard…I hope YOUR team wins!
