TART CHERRY SAUCE
2 cups pitted tart cherries
1/2 cup sugar (more if cherries are really tart)
1/2 cup water
1 T. orange juice (or some kind of liqueur if you’d like)
2 T. corn starch
Mix all ingredients in medium saucepan. Cook and stir together over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for two minutes more. Remove from heat. Serve warm or cold.
I even topped some pancakes with the sauce…
(FYI…No leftovers were observed after that breakfast!)
