Sometimes I’m NOT in the mood for pizza. So even though it was Sunday night (our typical pizza night) we wanted to try something different…and Mexican food sounded good.
The Whole Enchilada Fresh Mexican Grill was our choice…and it turned out to be a great one. The “fast food” concept isn’t new (and the menu was a little confusing) but the cashier was extremely helpful when we told her we hadn’t dined there before.
We started with a basket of chips and Queso.
The chips were a little thick, but the warm Queso dip was very good. A good start to our meal.
I got the fish tacos (Mahi-Mahi, cabbage, cheese, avocado, tomato and creamy cilantro sauce) and they were DELICIOUS! I got one hard shell and one soft flour tortilla so I could try both types, and I would absolutely get both soft shells next time. The fish was plentiful and very flavorful. A great choice.
Hubby got the Hasselhoff Taco Basket (tacos filled with charbroiled chicken, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.) He was very happy with his choice as well.
It’s nice to know there are fast food places with something other than hamburgers, and we will happily go back for another taste.
Like I said…some Sundays just don’t feel like pizza here in Paradise…
