My Mexican themed tailgate breakfast turned out to be a winner today…Just like our Hawkeyes!
From our Breakfast Burritos…
And homemade Black Beans…
To my own version of Spanish Rice With Bacon…
It turned out to be a great idea for our early kickoff Hawkeye game.
I even baked a fresh Apple Cake for dessert…
And our post game celebration included both Chicken and Sausage Nachos…
I even made enough for our tailgating neighbors!
I think our group enjoyed the change of pace from hot dogs and bratwursts…
And tomorrow I will begin to share the recipes for all of these dishes…starting with that old-time apple cake.
Like I’ve said before…Football and Food go hand in hand!
