Bon Voyage! We’re Cruising To CUBA!

Cruising was a big part of my life…in years gone by. And tomorrow I am thrilled to say I’m cruising once again! 

As a Master Cruise Counsellor I helped many folks plan their dream vacations, and I’ve sailed on scores of ships on many different cruise lines. But one destination has been in the forefront of my mind for many years. Cuba!

I’ve been “landlocked” for more years than I had hoped, and I’m so anxious to see how cruising has changed since I left the industry years ago. I’ll share MANY stories and photos when Peepaw and I return from this amazing adventure, so stay tuned in the weeks to come. But in the meantime be sure to follow and LIKE my Meemaw Eats Facebook page. I’m also on Twitter and Instagram too! That’s where you’ll get a first glimpse and first photos of this unique destination.

I’ll try to post some photos on my Facebook page as we board the Norwegian Sky in Miami, and I’ll  share the whole trip with you here on my blog after we return. We’ll be “off the grid” once we sail away, and it will be interesting to see how I cope without checking my smartphone every five minutes this week. (Maybe that’s my Lenten penance.)

After our overnight docked in Havana we head to Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island in the Bahamas before returning to Miami on Friday.
