Since it was our first time at the restaurant, our pleasant server was happy to help us navigate the extensive brunch menu. And the fresh coffee (locally roasted and ground) was absolutely delicious! In fact, the restaurant takes pride in sourcing local ingredients including the meats, eggs, and tortillas…all delicious. And that “Mom and Pop” local flavor is something we appreciate wherever we travel.
Hubby’s plate was prettier, but he thought his potatoes “tasted funny”, and he thought the bacon seemed salty.
I asked him if he liked the place well enough to go back…and he said he would try it again. But next time I think he will choose the rice and beans instead of the potatoes…especially after I raved about them all during breakfast. (He did have a hard time substituting tortillas for toast for his Sunday breakfast…but he is willing to have them again.)
Sometimes it’s just fun to think outside the box…and we’ll try this different box again.
