Lunchtime found us close to Fort Morgan, Colorado. So off the freeway we flew…and straight to the center of town. And like so many wonderful small towns in America…we found a town square…complete with a gazebo.
And right across the street was the spot we picked for lunch…
The sign said
Cables Bar & Grill…”Where Friends Meet!”
(And I think that slogan fits the place!)
The restaurant was opened in 1972. And I can see why it has lasted into the next century. The service and the food were top notch! Camden, our wonderful server, was friendly and competent, and she made sure our lunch arrived just as we had ordered it…and even better!
Hubby’s side salad was filled with “good stuff”…
And the Reuben sandwich we decided to split was delivered on separate plates. They even added an extra pickle so we didn’t have to share!
The food and service were so good we will remember this place. And we may schedule our trip back East to arrive in Fort Morgan in time for lunch.
After all…Cables Pub & Grill IS Where Friends Meet.
And we can see why they choose that place!
