It’s Almost Time Again – GrandCamp 2018

It’s almost time…for GrandCamp!

If you’re a long time follower of this blog you’ve probably noticed I’ve been somewhat lax in my usual three times weekly publishing schedule. There are some really good reasons for my lack of writing. You see, we’ve been out of town all but one weekend since we got home from our winter in Florida! We’ve spent two weekends in Illinois and two Des Moines. And that’s just the beginning. We’ve been following our four Iowa grandkids as they do what they love to do. They’re ALL ball players. And there is no place we’d rather be than watching all seven of our grandkids doing ALL the things they love to do…wherever and whatever that may be.

So my writing time has been quite limited with all of these road trips with Peepaw. In fact, this weekend will be one for the record books. Our son’s four kids will each be heading in different directions around the Midwest…and Peepaw and I plan to help make it all work out. It’s like a giant jigsaw puzzle of maps and schedules and FUN for all of them…and for us too!

And next week things get even better and better since we’ll also be welcoming our three Indy grandgirls here to Iowa for our much anticipated annual event known as GrandCamp! It’s a total blast. And when we can get ALL SEVEN “grands” together…well…I’m sure you get the picture.

So to prepare you for the fun time ahead, please allow me to share this blast from the past…

Now here is a taste of what’s ahead for Peepaw and me next week…and I’ll catch up with all of you as time permits. Just know we’re having the time of our lives…making summertime memories with our seven favorite kids on the planet.

You can’t put a price tag on the time we spend with these kids, and we won’t waste a minute. And I’m sure you’ll forgive me for missing a blog post or two. Or seven. 

After all, Life is NOT a dress rehearsal. And these kids are growing up before our very eyes.

So…Bring it ON! Grand Camp 2018 is almost here and I can’t wait!!!
