Our overnight hotel in Tifton, Georgia was located across the street from a iconic Southern landmark…
I’m never really sure why we eat EVER there. Really. I don’t like white bread. Their menu is minimal. They don’t have omelets or Hollandaise sauce…and their prices are really high for the quality of the food they serve.
But here we were…
Our server was pleasant and the place was clean…so that was a good sign. And they DID have raisin bread for toast…and raisins ARE healthy…right?
And I guess something called Cheese and Eggs is SORT of an omelet…
But the most interesting part of the meal was the conversation in the booth directly behind me.
Two “old boys” were discussing target practice, and what good shots they both were. And then they discussed “what they be a’huntin’ and killin’ in them woods”.
We ate fast.
