We’re always on the lookout for another good breakfast spot, so when we saw this silver roof we knew we had to give Lester’s a try. (After all, the sign says they’ve been around since 1967.)
We asked to be seated out on their patio, and our server obliged.
Apparently, Lester’s in known for their 14 ounce coffee cups. It’s even listed on their sign out front. So we were quite surprised when our coffee was delivered in average sized cups.
I noticed several large coffee cups on the counter, so I asked our server about getting one. She informed me they don’t have very many of those cups and you have to ASK for one when you are seated. Hmmm…Interesting “bait and switch” sales pitch?
The service and the food were both about as good as the coffee cup experience that morning…
I can’t say my plate looked very appetizing…
And Hubby’s wasn’t much better…
The waitress forgot to bring my toast, and the cook forgot the sliced tomatoes on my breakfast plate. The entire staff seemed to be playing “catch up” the entire morning.
Maybe if they all drank one of those 14 ounce cups of coffee they would be more alert to the needs of their customers…
