I like to try new things…and tonight we’re grilling a London Broil.
So first, I made a Marinade…
MEAT MARINADE
1/4 cup red wine (I used Cabernet)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 T. honey
1 T. Soy Sauce
6 cloves garlic, peeled and finely chopped
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
1 T. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Combine in a zip-lock bag and place meat inside. Refrigerate up to 24 hours, turning bag several times to coat all sides of the meat.
It was a BEAUTIFUL night for grilling!
Our new grill…A full moon…79 degrees…
What’s NOT to love?
I brought the meat to room temperature and I removed it from the marinade. Then I poured the marinade into a saucepan and reduced it on the stove until it thickened. I dried the meat very well with paper towels and rubbed some olive oil over it to help keep it from sticking to the grill…
The results??
Absolutely delish!
Remember…London Broil must be served medium-rare to keep it tender…and you must cut it in thin slices against the grain…otherwise you may think you are eating a shoe.
I drizzled the thickened cooked marinade over the slices of meat before serving…
Marinated meat…and moonlight…a great combination. What did you have for dinner tonight?
