McMinnville Oregon is an amazing place. It’s a wine lover’s paradise. But if wine is not your thing you’ll still find plenty of reasons to visit. I’ll take you on a stroll down 3rd Street, the “main street” in town. And FYI…This street earned second place in Parade Magazine’s “Best Main Street In America” poll. (I know I’m biased…but I think it deserved FIRST place.)
Come on along…and check it out!
Since McMinnville is the epicenter of Pinot Noir country, you’ll find many wine tasting rooms, like this awesome R. Stuart & CO. (Much more about them later.) A perfect place to sip some luscious wine and do some serious people-watching!
You’ll also find wonderful restaurants that offer a wide variety of dining experiences. From casual meals…
To upscale outdoor dining in a secret garden…
Or maybe a pool hall is more to your liking. (Make that a pool hall…with WiFi!)
Or stop in to a throwback to a 1970’s bar and grill…a real time capsule!
You may feel like you’re in New Orleans when you see this restaurant…
Or maybe you’re hankering for a taste of Italy…
No matter what you’re hungry for…you’ll find it on 3rd Street in McMinnville.
And if you’d like to dine with a bird’s eye view…just head up to one of the rooftop restaurants!
You’ll find a perfect spot to watch a glorious sunset…
And what about shopping? McMinnville has that too.
The unaltered architecture of the buildings is incredible.
And I was like a kid in a candy store when I walked into this shop. Who can resist samples of olive oils and balsamic vinegar blends? (I did not leave empty handed!)
If music is your thing, you’ll find that too!
Let’s head to the cellar!
Don’t be afraid! (We LOVE an adventure!)
Ta-DAH! It was music to my ears…especially with no cover charge!
And if you’re really lucky, you may stumble onto a Tuesday night weekly Bluegrass “jam session” in a 3rd Street hotel lobby. (We did…and it was AWESOME!)
So now I bet you’re beginning to understand our love affair with McMinnville…and I’m hoping that town hasn’t seen the last of Peepaw and me. It’s a place worth visiting, no matter where you live!
