We continue our quest for the perfect spot for a leisurely Sunday breakfast.
A spot to hunker down….read the paper…and enjoy a good old Cup of Joe with a basic breakfast. No frills. No gourmet ANYTHING. Just simple, good food.
And we decided to go back to Micky’s…
We sat in a booth…way back in the corner, and since the place wasn’t busy or crowded, the staff didn’t seem to mind us planting ourselves for awhile.
The corner was pretty dark, so reading the paper took some skill, but it was a nice, quiet place.
My Eggs Benny was good, although the hash browns were coated with too much oil. But my eggs were perfectly poached…a real plus!
We LOVE the fact that they serve PLAIN coffee. Not some trumped up (no political pun intended) version of beans that have come down a mountain in Columbia during a monsoon on the back of an Albino donkey. Mickey’s coffee is just coffee. Plain and simple. Like us.
YUM.
I only wish the cups were larger than a thimble, and that our server came by with refills once in awhile.
But all in all, it was a good breakfast, and I bet we’ll go back again.
