Sometimes in a restaurant, the littlest things can make the biggest impressions.
Like THIS little thing at lunch today…
When we take road trips, we always sit at the bar to eat lunch. That way we can chat with the “locals”…and with the bartender too. And finding a hook to hang my purse always puts me in a great mood! (It’s the little things that set places apart from the competition.)
So at lunchtime today we found ourselves in Mahomet, Illinois at a Restaurant and Brewery called
We have made this place a regular stop on our trips to Indy. And today was no exception.
And what to order?
I decided to try the Beer Cheese Soup…made with one of their craft beers…
And we split a Reuben and Fries…
So how was lunch?
The sandwich and fries were very good. The Beer Cheese Soup? Not so much! It was too “hoppy” and bitter…and the ingredients just didn’t work together….including the chopped green onion garnish.
I LOVE soup…and I really tried to like it. But not this one. Nope.
Let’s just say I’m sure glad there was a hook for my purse.
