If you’ve never roasted cauliflower, you’re in for a taste treat. And the process could not be easier!
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees…
Simply remove the leaves from the stalk and LEAVE THE CORE ATTACHED. Then slice the head into “steaks”.
Place on a cookie sheet that is lined with tin foil…and drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a squeeze of lemon. Then sprinkle with coarse salt and fresh cracked black pepper.
I was lucky enough to have brought some lemon flavored olive oil along that we purchased on our wine country adventures in Oregon last summer…so I left out the lemon juice and just used the flavored oil. It was delicious, and it brought back such great memories of that amazing trip. (Foods will do that, you know…)
I roasted the cauliflower at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Then I flipped the “steaks” and drizzled that side with oil and salt and pepper…and I roasted again for another 10-15 minutes.
The results?
Absolutely DELICIOUS!
