I’m always amazed at how close to Denver you must drive before the mountains come into view, and I think it was about 30 miles from Denver when the faint outline of those majestic peaks appeared.

And after surviving our trek across Nebraska, we both breathed a sigh of relief when we pulled into sis-in-law Patricia’s beautiful home in Lakewood.
Handyman Hubby wasted no time in starting a BIG home project for his sister. (He’s replacing all the interior doors!) and after a trip to the lumber store and several hours of work, it was time for showers, cocktails and a walk to a nearby restaurant called Teller’s Tap Room and Kitchen.
Our meal was ALMOST as good as the visit we all shared.

The place was packed, but the service was wonderful. And my chicken salad was just what the doctor ordered after that BIG GAME breakfast in Nebraska!
