It must be something in the water.
That’s the only thing I can think of. Otherwise, how do you explain the appearance and the vitality of my 86 year old cousin “Strick” and his 85 year old wife Barbara. It is truly amazing…REALLY…
“Strick” studied in New York City. He was a photographer, and a videographer before it’s time. And he still takes pictures. Really GOOD pictures. (I only wish these photos I took were HALF as good as his!)
And Barbara loves flowers. And gardens. And staying active. And at 85 years young, she has found her PERFECT job. (Yes…she is STILL working…and LOVING it!)
Barb works in a private garden owned by a couple who rescue heirloom seeds and plants from around the world. And Barbara has lovingly tended their garden for the past 15 years. In fact, she is such an integral part of the garden that the owners commissioned a painting of the garden…and the painting includes Barbara.

I can’t remember how large the garden is, but I think Barb said it was about ten acres. All I can tell you is…it is breathtaking.
Walking into the garden is like walking into a painting by Monet…my favorite artist. And there are definite Asian influences throughout the grounds.
So here are some pictures I snapped as we walked through the blooming paradise.
ENJOY…And Be at PEACE…I know WE were.

This magical place sums up what this visit with my family has meant to ALL of us…and it’s a visit we’ll always treasure…
(And I STILL think it’s in the WATER…)
