Join me for a tour of a cute little wine country cottage in McMinnville, Oregon.
We’ve had great success when booking AirBnB properties, and this is the second time we’ve stayed in cottages in the town of McMinnville. (Click HERE to see our 2016 cottage rental. It was awesome too!)
Tucked in behind the main house, I think our cottage may have been a garage years ago. As we walked up to the door, it became crystal clear that we were in wine country.
As we opened the door, our tour led us directly into the kitchen. What a sweet place! And what a clever use of wine barrels!
The rustic touches were wonderful, and the place felt like home immediately.
Who needs curtains when the kitchen window is framed by grape vines?
The bedroom/living room was certainly big enough for the two of us, and the bonus of having a washer and dryer can’t be overstated!
Living out of a carry on bag for two weeks made us grateful for those stacked appliances.
We never even met our hosts, yet they provided everything we needed.
The small bathroom was stocked with all we needed, and the shower was great. Those snow white towels were thick and soft.
After a quick trip to the grocery store we were all set! We even had room to entertain our dear McMinnville friends Candy and Rick. I even whipped up these appetizers on short notice. Nothing fancy, but fine with a glass of wine.
The walnut stuffed dates I bought in California were a perfect appetizer. And cheese spread paired with a good loaf of bread tasted great too. Cantaloupe rounded out the simple snacks. It just goes to show you don’t need a million ingredients on hand when you invite friends to join you!
And our AirBnB hosts even made sure we had coffee and a pot to brew it in the next morning.
The grand tour of our cottage didn’t take long, but that sweet little cottage was absolutely perfect for these two old travelers.
And Vineyard Time was just beginning for us!
